Your partnership brings Illuminated Stories After Stroke to the stage in Portland, an evening to honor Oregon survivors who have dedicated seven weeks to reflect, reframe, and reclaim their stories to support and inspire fellow survivors through our Illuminated Workshop. They have shifted from “what happened to me” to “who I am becoming now.”
But the impact reaches well beyond one night. Your partnership sustains our programs that:
Facilitate personalized reflection sessions with stroke survivors.
Assist stroke survivors in crafting and sharing their stories.
Foster group reflection, workshops, and retreat experiences.
The journey doesn’t end at publication. Most Storytellers go on to volunteer in their communities,
and over 90% stay engaged with Beyond Stillness after their stories publication.
Beyond Stillness is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (Tax ID 99-1084252); contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

While collaborating with Beyond Stillness, I was always at peace. The storycrafting process helped me identify catalyst moments in my recovery which I will share with others going forward.
